I have been drinking Koni Tea now for roughly the last year. I think I have tried just about every tea that Koni has to offer. I'll admit, I don't know anything about tea, but I've always had a very sensitive palate towards food and drink. I used to just buy the boxed Lipton or loose tea from other tea companies, and thought tea was all the same. I always have to load it up with honey, sugar, or cream. I didn't know how wrong I was. Mighty Athena is one of my favorites. I can taste the strawberry and papaya right away, and while I'm not positive, I think I taste a light floral hint. The green tea isn't nearly as bitter as the processed bagged tea is. I NEVER use sugar in my teas anymore because of its fresh flavor, and I will never go back to buying the processed tea ever again. This one is definitely one of my favorites!!!

I've never been much of a tea drinker, but after smelling the sample of this sent along with my order, I had to try it first and it is amazing! The flavors are not too strong nor too subtle, and you really enjoy every sip. Fantastic tasting and smells so good! When I reorder once what I have is gone I'll most likely be ordering some of this.

I got my mom hooked on this tea after I was raving about it for months. I am waiting for my next email for 10-30% off to get my next couple of bags of this stuff. We blew through it in about two weeks. I honestly recommend this tea to anyone who is looking for a great green tea.

Oh my! This has jumped to the top of my list as my favorite so far - and that's a lot to say because everything else I have tried has been great. A lovely, light green tea with bits of strawberry and papaya with a delicious natural strawberry flavor. This is absolutely incredible iced - I wanted to run out and share it with all my neighbors after I tried it this morning! The taste is so satisfying and refreshing. If you like fresh strawberries and the amazing benefits of green tea, you will LOVE this one!
Ask my friends, I have a very large collection of loose tea from various tea places, but none of them compare to ONO's teas. I am a huge new fan!!

Mighty Athena Creme Anglaise
Author: The Tea Chick
INGREDIENTS: * ¾ cup whole milk * ¼ cup heavy cream * 1 vanilla bean * 3 egg yolks * ¼ cup sugar * 1 tsp KONI Mighty Athena
DIRECTIONS:
1. Vertically cut the vanilla bean in half to expose the beans.
2. Combine milk and cream in a small heavy saucepan. Add the cut vanilla bean and Mighty Athena tea.
3. Heat on medium until it just starts to lightly bubble on the sides. Meanwhile, whisk the eggs and sugar together in a bowl.
4. Slowly pour about 1/4 C of the hot milk mixture into the eggs and sugar, whisking constantly. Now slowly pour the egg, sugar, and hot milk mixture back into the rest of the milk, whisking constantly.
5. Return the mixture to the saucepan and place back on the stove. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of the spoon.
6. Remove and strain into a bowl. Take the vanilla bean out and scrape all the beans out with a spoon and add to the strained mixture. You can chill in an ice bath or in the refrigerator until ready to use. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent a skin from forming. This makes about 1 cup.
