Caramel Slender

Pu-erh tea, found in Caramel Slender, is widely used as an after-meal beverage due to its famed ability to break down fat, and lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure, helping to smooth digestion. Koni pu-erh tea invigorates the spleen, disinhibits dampness, clears stomach heat, descends stomach qi and counteracts alcohol toxins. Pu-erh's ability to aid fat metabolism, especially in Koni teas, can assist in weight loss. Antioxidants called flavonoids, found in pu-erh teas, reduce blood pressure, strengthen arteries, and lower the amount of LDL or 'bad' cholesterol in the blood stream.

How to Steep	1. Add 1.5 tsp of tea per 8 oz cup to your Koni infuser. 2. Steep in boiling water for a minimum of 3 minutes. You can produce a richer cup the longer you let this tea steep.

Well, since I have been drinking your teas, I have had several comments about how my body is changing, etc...losing weight, looking more tone.! This tea is so delicious. I wrote you a few months back for some advice and have lost 10 pounds since. I wasn't sure about the earthy flavor at first, but I was willing to give it a chance. It took a few tries to fall in love with, but now that I have discovered that drinking it iced cold with a hefty splash of vanilla soy milk is incredibly delicious, I'm hooked!! Posted: 07/31/2009

Recipes

Caramel Slender Latte Author: The Tea Chick INGREDIENTS:

* 1/4 cup of your choice of milk - I used vanilla soymilk
* 1 cup strongly brewed KONI Caramel Slender or Caramel Slim (I recommend 2 tsp per 8 oz cup and brew for 15 minutes)
* sweeten to taste (I used maple syrup)
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:
1. Put 2 tsp of KONI Caramel Slender in your KONI Modern Mug infuser, add a cup of hot water and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
2. In an KONI Jumbo cup (shown in image), heat up the milk and maple syrup in the microwave. I warm it up for 40 seconds.
2. Pour the brewed Caramel Slender into your KONI Jumbo Cup and sprinkle with cinnamon. Caramel Pumpkin Cupcakes Author: The Tea Chick INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup of almond milk
2 tablespoons of KONI Caramel Slender tea
2 C all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
1 C packed light brown sugar
3/4 C granulated sugar
1 C salted butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup applesauce
15 oz pumpkin puree

Frosting:
8 oz Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
¾ cup Powdered Sugar
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
Whisk cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners and set aside.

2. In a small saucepan, combine the almond milk (or soy milk) and Caramel Slender. Let it come to a boil and bring it down to a simmer for 15 minutes. Strain it then set aside to cool.

3. In a bowl whisk flour, baking soda and powder, pumpkin pie spice. In another bowl whisk brown and granulated sugar with butter and eggs. Add the wet ingredients to the dry, mixing until just combined. and then add pumkin puree and the cooled down almond milk and caramel slender mix.

Divide the batter into the cups, filling each liner about ¾ full. Bake for 16 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting. Caramel Banana Slimming Smoothie Author: The Tea Chick INGREDIENTS:oats

* 1 cup KONI Caramel Slender Pu-erh cooled
* 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
* 2 cups of banana sliced
* 1/2 cup strawberries
* 1 tbsp of honey
* 1/8 cup chopped walnuts
* 1/8 cup rolled oats
* 1 tsp flax seed meal

DIRECTIONS:

Place ingredients in a blender and process until smooth then enjoy!
